Hatched

Best wishes go to ME Sufferer Corina Duyn with the publication of her new book 'Hatched', which is a collection of 'poems' and artworks.

'Hatched' is a distillation of 8 years of writing by Dutch-born Corina Duyn, a process that helped her to come to terms with the debilitating illness M.E. Her poetry and images allow us to glimpse her sense of humour along with the strength of mind, that has seen her through many difficult and painful times. As she says herself, it is not a journey she would have chosen, but it is one that has brought her to many interesting places.

The DVD/Documentary 'Flight Path' by Katie Lincoln, is a short documentary charting Corina's journey as she undertakes the writing of her book 'Hatched'.

The book will be officially launched at 6pm on the 16th June 2006, at Lismore Library, during the IMMRAMA writer's festival in Lismore.

The books/DVD will be available from Corina ( corinad@eircom.net ) and the Waterford County Council Arts Office, who is supporting the publication of 'Hatched'.

A special book launch has also been organised for Monday 17th July at 7.30pm in An Grianán, Termonfeckin, County Louth as part of the ME Therapy Week taking place there. All are welcome to attend.
